Diploma – Integrative Counselling, Registered MBACP
Emma is an integrative therapeutic counsellor and a registered member of the BACP working predominantly with younger adults and teenagers.
Emma uses a range of therapeutic modalities to best support her clients, this might include Cognitive Behavioural Therapy techniques, mindfulness, person-centred or psychodynamic work. She also integrates play and art therapy into her practice. Emma describes the therapeutic space as creative, collaborative and most importantly somewhere a client can ‘just be.’ She will think with the client about what might be impacting them in the present, identifying the root causes so that they feel more able to live life to its full potential.
Emma’s aim as a therapist is to meet her clients where they are, to provide a safe, nurturing and empathetic space for them to feel able to share any concerns, worries or anxieties they may be facing in their life. She hopes to create an environment of openness, developing trust and a connection so that a client can start untangling difficult feelings in the therapy room.
Emma fully appreciates that reaching out for therapy can be scary and in some cases quite daunting but will always work at a pace that makes her client feel comfortable.
Emma can offer both online and face-to-face sessions.
Emma charges £60 for a 50-minute session.
