Sometimes it can be hard to ask for help and support, especially when you are feeling overwhelmed or unsure of who to reach out to in order to get the help you need. As an experienced counsellor and psychotherapist who draws from a number of therapeutic approaches, Charlotte believes that offering a safe confidential place to the talk, with the aim of reaching a greater understand of what is going on is the right first step. She works at a pace that suits you in order for you to manage difficult thoughts and feelings, improve your health and well-being and, finally, enable you to effect positive change in your life.
Charlotte specialises in substance misuse, anger management, self-esteem issues, relationship and attachment issues, co-dependency, self-harm and sexual exploration. She has wide experiences working in schools, pupil referral units and youth counselling services, providing early intervention for young people in one to one and group settings. She also has extensive and varied experience working with adults and families, as well as providing group workshops and one to one sessions for adults in institutions and the wider community.
In addition, Charlotte works in all areas of addiction and with people affected by addiction (families, loved ones, etc).
Charlotte believes that being heard in a calm nurturing environment is the most effective way of enabling you to take ownership of your life and any challenges or obstacles you may face.
