FdSc Integrative Counselling
After many years of working in the corporate world, Kirstin made the decision to re-qualify as a psychotherapist because she believes in the power of talking therapy and how empowering it can be in the way that we relate to one another on a daily basis. Having traveled and lived extensively throughout the world Kirstin feels she has gained great insight into cultural and societal differences which help her to develop deep empathy with clients from all walks of life.
Kirstin’s original training was a foundation degree in integrative counselling, which means that she uses different therapeutic methods depending on what her client is presenting with as she believes that different people need different approaches to understanding what might be happening with them. Her core belief is that for any therapy to be successful there needs to be a trusting and confidential working alliance, and this is the basis of the relationship between Kirstin and her client. She will always therefore strive to provide a warm, non-judgemental and empathic environment within which therapy may take place.
Training is a continual and life-long approach for Kirstin as she likes to keep abreast of the continual new and helpful approaches that come to light through research.
Kirstin charges £45 per session.
