Diploma in Counselling, The Gestalt Centre
Áine has extensive experience in counselling and coaching young people, students and adults. She has worked with clients who are struggling with a variety of issues including depression, anxiety and low self-esteem.
Áine has experience working with bereavement and loss and supporting clients in working through their grief, whether this due to a loved one dying, miscarriage or sudden life changing event. She has lived in several different countries and this gives her a unique insight into understanding the strains and challenges that come with a change in your environment.
Áine’s core training is in Gestalt therapy. The Gestalt approach focuses on the ‘here and now’ (the present) and through this her clients gain awareness and insight into their own processes and ways of being. For some people, this new awareness can enable them to change their approach to a situation, relationship or event in the past that is creating a sense of being stuck and preventing them from moving forward. Gestalt is a rich therapy and embraces diversity recognising that each individual is unique based on their experiences though culture, race, gender, sexual identity, disability, faith, family and social background. This mindful approach to therapy also enables Áine to integrate other therapeutic approaches to help meet the individual needs of each client.
Áine charges £55 for a 50 minute session.
