Vicci is an experienced Counsellor Psychotherapist who works with adults, young people and children drawing from several different therapeutic approaches to meet individual needs. She aims to provide an empowering supportive space for you to discover significant realisations about yourself and your difficulties; bringing clarity, insight and promoting overall health, well-being and fresh perspectives. She believes therapy can support an individual to reduce isolation, despair, confusion, anxiety and can facilitate change in a number of different ways.
She has experience working for the NHS and 'RAPt' - 'Rehabilitation of Addicted Prisoner's Trust' as a counsellor in prisons, with adults of both sexes and young people; working with those incarcerated and their loved ones. As well as working in the public sector she has worked privately with those in drug and alcohol rehabilitation and detoxification in both one to one and group therapy. She has also had a wide practice working with children and young people (age 11-25) via a Youth Counselling Service and through her private practice. She is currently employed as the School Counsellor working with staff and children age 5 to 18.
Additionally she sees clients on a short or long term basis, privately; providing a confidential, compassionate and non-judgemental space to explore a variety of life’s problems to be shared, heard, supported and alleviated, such as: abuse, addictions, anger, anxiety, stress, panic, bereavement and loss, childhood difficulties, co-dependency, confusion, depression, drug and alcohol concerns, eating disorders/distress, family issues, low self-esteem, post-traumatic stress, relationship issues, self-harm, gender and sexuality, stress, transitions and change, trauma and work related difficulties.
