Ruth Kendrick
Accredited Member: BACP, Diip. Integrative Therapy – NCFE, Dip. Child and Family Therapy
Ruth is a BACP accredited and registered Integrative Counsellor. She sees adults and children at her clinic in Weybridge, Surrey. As a specially trained Play Therapist, Ruth works with children using non-directive holistic play therapy. Child-centred holistic play therapy is an active approach to counselling in which play, rather than talking, is the main means of expression. For children, play is the most natural form of communication and through play therapy a range of issues can be explored.
During her 15 years’ experience, in a variety of school settings, Ruth has worked with trauma, attachment issues, domestic violence, anxiety, bereavement, bullying, low self-esteem and anger issues. She feels her experience in building strong relationships, creating a safe space and her non-judgemental, confidential approach goes a long way to help the children move forward.
