Iris Osk Gudsteinsdottir

Iris is a qualified Integrative Counsellor and Psychotherapist who graduated from Greenwich University (FdSc) and is a member of the British Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapists (BACP). Iris also trained as a Mindfulness Teacher with the Mindfulness Network, after experiencing the benefits of mindfulness practice in her own daily life.

Iris has previously worked at a counselling agency for university students, and at a counselling agency for women. Prior to qualifying, Iris worked in the field of design and architecture, and she also volunteered, half a day a week, as a mental health mentor for teenagers in a secondary school.

Iris offers a warm, empathic and non-judgemental space, online and in person, where her clients can feel safe, heard and understood. Iris brings genuine interest and compassion when learning about her client’s experiences and supports them in developing a deeper understanding of what they are working through. This deeper understanding and having someone to talk things through with can often bring clients much relief, validation and even more self-acceptance and clarity.

Iris tailors her approach based on what may be helpful for each individual client. As an integrative therapist she may pull from theories such as: Person-Centred, Relational, Psychodynamic, Gestalt, CBT, TA and existential.

Iris offers sessions on:

Mondays & Wednesdays 12-18
Tuesdays & Thursdays 9-21

Iris’s sessions are:

50 minutes and arranged weekly
£60 per session
Short-term (6-12 weeks)
Long-term (open-ended)
In-person at the Practice in Guildford
Online via zoom
