Entering the world of therapy can feel daunting but hopefully both rewarding and empowering. Many things may lead us to seek help including ongoing struggles, specific difficulties or feeling “stuck”. Therapy has the potential to achieve greater clarity, self-awareness, and acceptance, to help us navigate life’s challenges and enhance mental health.
Cheryl believes that creating a strong therapeutic relationship is essential to the success of the work and she aims to simplify and demystify the process. She offers a non-judgemental nurturing space to facilitate exploration and insight, she believes that we all have the capacity for healing but may need help at some points in our lives. Cheryl acknowledges that our stories and experiences are unique and require different ways of thinking about and tackling issues. She chose to train in Integrative Psychotherapy and Counselling which brings together a variety approaches that can be tailored to your needs. It may involve exploring external pressures or looking at the past to gain insight into current thoughts, and relationship dynamics. Cheryl offers both long term and short-term therapy. The duration of the work will be determined by your needs and goals, which you will explore together.
