Ali strives to create a confidential and comfortable space in which his clients can begin to explore their problems and concerns collaboratively with him. Through attentive listening and authentic curiosity, Ali works with his clients to help discover what they need and what is important to them. Through meaningful conversations, Ali’s clients can build their confidence and resilience, grow in ways that lead to more positive outcomes, and begin to feel more in control and comfortable in themselves.
As an integrative practitioner, Ali can tailor his sessions to what is most helpful for each of his clients, using elements of person-centred and psychodynamic therapies, as well as cognitive-behavioural therapy (CBT) techniques. He is flexible and adaptive and invites his clients to share their preference and take an active role in deciding how they work together.
With a BA (Hons) in Anthropology and Cultural Studies, Ali understands and strongly believes that people are largely well intentioned and doing the best they can in the situations they are in. He is warm, empathic and non-judgemental, with genuine care for his clients. Ali's empathetic approach allows him to skilfully navigate the full spectrum of human emotions, creating a safe and inclusive space where clients can find comfort in sharing their tears and vulnerability, as well as their laughter and humour.
