Counsellor/Psychotherapist

Bsc (hons) Therapeutic Counselling,  Diploma in Integrative Therapeutic Counselling, MBACP, Post Qualification Cert Couples Counselling (BCS)

From £75.00 (50 minute session)

Sarah has trained as an integrative relational counsellor, believing that the relationship developed during counselling is key to the therapy process. Sarah believes that each person's life experiences have contributed to their individuality and is able to integrate different approaches to best suit and work with each client to achieve their goals.

Sarah is aware that looking for and starting counselling can be challenging, often at a time when you may be feeling overwhelmed, making it hard to reach out. Her aim is to offer a safe and supportive environment, providing you with a non-judgemental space so you can feel truly heard and understood. Within this safe space you will be able to explore past or present concerns that may be causing conflict within yourself and impacting on your psychological well being.

Sarah continues to expand on her training, regularly accessing further professional development. Her postgraduate training has provided specialisation in working with both post-traumatic stress disorder and complex post-traumatic stress disorder. Sarah works with evidence-based processes, within a phase-based approach, to enable you to process both your trauma and the often accompanying conditions, such as anxiety, depression, nightmares and flashbacks. The work aims to give you control over your emotional and physical responses to trauma, whilst understanding the impact this has had on your life. It will enable you to develop an ability to cope with and resolve, both internal and external conflicts. As a member of the British Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapists, Sarah works within their Ethical guidelines to keep you safe and guarantee your confidentiality.

Sarah is able to work short-term or long-term depending on your needs and offers an initial 15-minute telephone or zoom chat to answer any questions you may have.

Sarah charges £75 per session for individuals and £95 for couples, offering face-to-face or online sessions.

When I came to you I felt my life wasn't worth living. I had no idea why I felt the way I did and felt I had no control over myself and my life. Now I am a completely different person, living in a way that I never thought was possible. I understand why I felt the way I have and have the knowledge and skills to move forward with my life.

Client G

I have been working with Sarah for around two years, helping me work through substantial trauma in my past. Recently I was struggling with panic attacks and anxiety that affected my ability to cope with day to day life and left me unable to leave the house. The trauma process resulted in me being able to regain my confidence and independence and thankfully get my life back. Through Sarah's support and guidance I have the tools to be able to cope and am finally feeling like the best version of myself.

Client E

The whole process of starting counselling in the first place was made really easy and I felt at ease and comfortable straight away. The support and understanding Sarah showed to my personal situation and personal development was fantastic, and got me through a very difficult time. Couldn't recommend this service enough, to anyone needing some support and guidance, in understanding themselves and getting through a tough situation.
