Nella is a qualified Child and Adolescent Psychotherapist with a Master’s degree in Integrative Child Psychotherapy and a Postgraduate Certificate in the Therapeutic Arts.
Nella specialises in a trauma-informed approach rooted in attachment theory, neuroscience and psychoanalysis, working with children aged 3 to 18 years old. Her integrative training allows her to personalise how she works with each client to meet their unique needs.
Nella embraces creativity in her practice, offering the use of art, imagery, sandplay and play therapy for children to delve into their inner worlds and for when it’s hard to put experiences into words. With adolescents, Nella incorporates cognitive-behavioural strategies and other therapeutic tools. With younger children, sessions are non-directive and play based.
Nella’s clinical experience includes working with young people in the education and charity sectors. Her experience includes supporting children with anxiety, anger, low self-esteem, or who have experienced developmental trauma, bullying, parental separation, loss, domestic abuse, self-harm or suicidal thoughts. Nella also supports neurodiverse children.
