Family/Child Related Issues

Family

Familial relationships are a vital part of our lives.  These relationships help to define us and often become the foundation on which we base our future relationships.  When these essential relationships become stressed and strained the people involved are often damaged and frustrated.  Whether it is one person causing the issues or problems that have built up over time it is essential to find a solution and a trained family counsellor can help the family to find balance again by providing a safe environment where each family member can communicate freely and listen to the other family members do the same.

Child

Realising that your child is struggling emotionally or psychologically can be distressing for any parent.  Seeking the help of a professional can, in turn, enable you to either help the child yourself, or when necessary, help the child directly.  Much like an adult, children can have complex internal struggles and only by understanding what is going on with them can you reduce the anxiety they are experiencing.

You may find it helpful to speak to your GP or a trained counsellor if you are struggling with any issues in your family or with your child.

Dare we hope? We dare.
Can we hope? We can.
Should we hope? We must, because to do otherwise is to waste the most precious of gifts given so freely by God to all of us. So when we do die, it will be with hope and it will be easy and our hearts will not be broken.

Love is Patient - The Bible: 1 Corinthians 13:4

Love is patient, love is kind.
It does not envy, it does not boast,
It is not proud.
It is not rude, it is not self-seeking,
It is not easily angered,
It keeps no record of wrongs.
Love does not delight in evil
But rejoices with the truth.
It always protects, always trusts,
Always hopes, always perseveres.
Love never fails.
