Adolescent Counselling
Discovering that your adolescent is struggling emotionally or psychologically can be extremely upsetting for any parent. Seeking the help of a professional therapist can, either, enable you to help your child yourself, or when necessary, help your child/adolescent directly.
Child and adolescent counselling is similar to adult therapy, in that it can offer a safe, non-judgemental space in which your child/adolescent can explore and develop tools and skills that can enable he or she to bring change to thoughts, feelings and behaviours. Much like an adult, children and adolescents can have complex internal struggles and only by understanding these struggles can they reduce the anxiety they are experiencing.
Whether your child/adolescent is suffering with traumatic issues or is struggling with the brave and simple act of being human, our qualified child and adolescent therapists can help them deal with difficult subjects.
Children and adolescents will learn the coping mechanisms necessary to face future struggles as well as improving self-esteem and self-confidence. By working together our therapists and your child/adolescent can strive towards a positive fulfilling future.
Whatever type of therapy we recommend your child/adolescent engages in, our hope is to help them not just survive but thrive!
