With her children and young people, play therapy is the active approach to counselling in which play, rather than talking, is the main means of expression. For children and young people, play is the most natural form of communication and through this creative therapy a range of issues can be explored.

Ruth has worked with anxiety, anger, low self-esteem, developmental trauma, domestic violence, bereavement, and bullying. A large number of clients present with ADHD and Autism, which is an area she has had training.

Testimonials
‘Thank you for all the support you have given our son and our family. I would recommend Play Therapy to other parents, as I feel his behaviour has change in a better way, especially in the way he reacts to separation in the mornings, when he goes into school.’ (Client T)
‘I wanted to drop you a line to say how grateful we are for the help ‘B’ has received. Throughout the counselling we have seen her self-confidence grow, from a very low place to a place of strong resilience, looking forward to going to college in in September. We can’t thank you enough.’ (Client W)
