Mindfulness refers to an enhanced state of awareness of both yourself and the world around you. Mindfulness can be a powerful tool to help reduce anxiety and stress that can often be associated with past or future difficulties and teach you to live in the moment.

The average person spends 40% of their time living in the past, pondering “if only” scenarios and 40% of their time looking to the future, developing complex “what if” situations - that leaves only 20% of their time living in the present! While learning lessons from the past and planning for the future can be important, all of this often occurs at the expense of living in the moment.

Getting the balance right can be extremely difficult for some, but practising mindfulness can help by making you aware of your thoughts and giving you the skills to bring calm and balance to what can often be a chaotic and stressful life.

Mindfulness can help you find peace in our crazy, hectic works by teaching you to "catch" negative thoughts. Through good mindfulness practice our practitioners can help you to realise that your thoughts can come and go of their own volition, and, importantly, you are not your thoughts. As such you have a choice - act on them or let them go.

Dare we hope? We dare.
Can we hope? We can.
Should we hope? We must, because to do otherwise is to waste the most precious of gifts given so freely by God to all of us. So when we do die, it will be with hope and it will be easy and our hearts will not be broken.
