Mindfulness

Mindfulness is a tool that can teach, and help, you to live in the moment.  Mindfulness can be a powerful way of helping to reduce stress and anxiety that can often be associated with past or future difficulties.

The average person spends 40% of their time living in the past, ruminating on “if only” and 40% of their time looking to the future, planning “what if” – that leaves on 20% of their time living in the present! While it is important to learn lesson from the past and to make plans for the future, all of this often occurs at the expense of living in the here and now.

Getting the balance right can be extremely difficult for some, but practicing mindfulness can help by making you aware that your thoughts and giving you the skills to bring calm and balance to what can often be a chaotic and stressful life.

The Practice offers an 8 week Mindfulness Course specially developed, using the most up to date methods, to enable you to learn to use mindfulness techniques in order to pay more attention to the present moment.

Delivered by qualified psychotherapists from The Practice with specific training in mindfulness, this course is suitable for all ages and can be adapted easily to meet the different needs of each group.

Mindfulness is a lifelong journeys that requires commitment and diligence. This is not an easy voyage. Hopefully participating in this group will provide a sense of support and community. Having a support network is crucial to continuing along the path of practice and well-being.

What to expect when you contact The Practice

We run these courses on a rolling basis. We will add your name to the list of participants for our next available Mindfulness course and will invite you to join us at the start of the next course.

We are pleased to say that we meet the standards of the EHC referral process, and are now accepting Education, Health, and Care (ECH) plan referrals.
