Shana offers counselling and psychotherapy working from her experience as an integrative-relational therapist. In simple terms this means that she can vary her approach of working to suit your individual needs. As her client, you will be in the driving seat, exploring the difficulties you face in a safe, supportive and non-judgemental environment. Shana believes that the relationship between you both is a key element to the success of therapy, so is keen to make you feel at ease.
Shana first became interested in therapeutic work after volunteering for a charity that offered support to women suffering from Post-Natal illness which remains a particular interest. Currently in addition to private work, Shana is an associate counsellor at a charitable agency, offering low cost counselling to women. Shana also works at a London University offering counselling to students, giving her experience of working with adults and young adults.
Shana has previous experience of working at an NHS GP surgery in Surbiton. This has given her a broad range of experience of presenting issues, from GP referred clients. Some of her past clients have sought help with depression, anxiety, managing ill health, bereavement, abuse, childhood trauma, work place bullying, self-harm and obsessive-compulsive behaviours.
