Melanie is a qualified bilingual integrative Psychotherapist (Integrative Gestalt therapy), working towards UK accreditation, who offers both short-term and long-term sessions in German and English. As well as seeing adults, she has been working with children and adolescents as a teacher since 2006 and as a psychotherapist since 2011.
In addition to her private practice Melanie also currently works at Richmond-upon-Thames College as the college counsellor, working primarily with 16-18 year olds and also 19+. Prior to that she worked as a specialist mental health mentor and associate counsellor at the Royal Holloway University of London and University of Southampton, where she helped students and staff deal with personal, academic and work issues in a short-term setting. Melanie also has extensive experience working as a psychotherapist with children and teenagers throughout primary and secondary schools in West Sussex.
Melanie’s eight years’ experience as a secondary school teacher has helped her to shape her approach to counselling/therapy with children and adolescents. As such she also includes Play Therapy in her sessions with children. Melanie also works with families.
Melanie holds an enhanced DBS check and is fully insured.
Melanie charges £70 per 50 minute session and £90 for couples and families.
