Juliette Canham
BACK TO PRACTITIONERSJuliette is a qualified, HCPC registered Psychotherapist who specialises in working with children and adolescents. She has vast experience of working therapeutically in schools and as a SEN TA. Juliette believes that the combination of the healing potential of creativity together with a safe, non judgemental space and relationship can enable an individual to process and work through distressing thoughts and experiences. Creative psychotherapy is particularly helpful for individuals who have difficulty vocalising traumatic experiences as it provides an alternative medium through which feelings can be conveyed and understood. Although Juliette is trained primarily as an art psychotherapist her client centred approach allows her to engage with the client through talking, play, written word or art. For her it is the building of a relationship of mutual trust and respect that is of primary importance. Juliette has experience of working with children and adolescents with autism, depression, bereavement, anxiety, panic, neglect, low self esteem, stress, loss, eating disorders, bullying and domestic abuse. Juliette is Level 3 Safeguarding Children qualified.
Alongside her private practice Juliette provides group art therapy in a mental health setting.
Juliette offers face-to-face art therapy sessions. She can work both short and long term, depending on the needs of the individual.
Fees are £60 per 50 minute session.
