BSc (Hons), PGCE (FE), Working with Parents, Parenting Facilitator
Carol is an experienced Parenting Facilitator and Adviser who works with parents one to one and facilitates small groups. She aims to provide parents with opportunities for reflection and clarity when feeling overwhelmed with the challenges of family life. Carol offers a supportive non-judgemental environment where parents can discover what changes they could make to promote their family’s well-being and guide their children towards reaching their full potential.
After working as a college lecturer for 10 years, Carol moved into parenting support with a national family charity supporting parents around the time of birth and beyond, overseeing a helpline and delivering tailor made parenting courses. From there Carol moved to set up and manage Cobham Children’s Centre as a small charity with funding from Surrey County Council. Here, and more recently with another local charity, Families Matter, she continued delivering parenting courses including Family Links Parenting Puzzle. Carol has addressed issues such as parenting ASD/ADHD children, coping with parental separation, sibling rivalry, family guidelines/rules, schooling transitions, delivering strategies effectively, exploring feelings and more. Carol has been delivering courses in Elmbridge over the past 12 years along side her colleague, Daphne Sohl. Parents have reported that their family life has been transformed by following these courses.
The 10 week parenting course is offered at £40 per session.
